Saturday Saturdays!

The Memphis winter winds called it quits for a weekend. Tempuratures ranging in the low & mid 60. It was awesome and we took advantage of the weekend by thrifting and doing an outdoor photoshoot at Shelby Farms.

These fashion tee’s from Target are the softest, most comfortable tee’s we have ever owned. They wash and dry without shrinking. Best 12.99 we’ve ever spent! 🙂

Themed Dining: “Upper Eastside” Brunch…. in Memphis

Gossip Girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manha…Memphis’ elite.

Who doesn’t love watching the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite? Who wouldn’t love to dine like Serena Van der Woodsen, Chuck Bass and Queen B?

To those of us who live in Memphis, we know that the options of entertainment in Memphis are few. The regular places of Midtown and Downtown are bars and clubs that reside on Beale Street, Cooper/Young, or Overton Square. The activities are even fewer. After a few years of living here, all of that can lose its excitement. So, we decided to try something else. Themed Brunches!

The Theme: Upper East Side.

We started to search for places that served brunch, in the Midtown/Downtown area.  We wanted the classy atmosphere to fit our theme. The Brushmark at the Brooks Museum is the closest thing we could find. Floor to ceiling windows that show an adorable outdoor patio, modern decor with an intimate feel.

We picked the day, December 16th (which was Mary’s birthday morning), and planned our outfits.

We got ready together that morning. Dressed in cocktail dresses, heels, and used the proper accessories.

We started with Chocolate croissants and Mimosa’s, then order our main course. Everything was to our satisfactory.

Dresses: Urban Outfitters, Jewelry and Accessories: Forever21, Tights: APT1 at Kohls, Shoes: Revive: downtown Memphis and Payless

You and your girlfriends: Pick a theme, a place, and the day. Be Creative. Go shopping and have a themed Brunch, Lunch or Dinner and send up your themed dining outting!

You know you love me.

XOXO, Gossip Girl.

Our Formal Introduction

Hey Y’all!

We are so excited to embark on this new journey. Dabble is a Fashion blog for women of all shapes and sizes. When we started to brainstorm for this blog we wanted to make sure it was different. Fashion isn’t always about the newest hottest trend. If you feel that pressure… take a few breaths and keep reading.

Fashion is an expression.

How do you express who you are as a woman or a man? Are you against trends or for trends? Do you express yourself with simplicity of a band-tee and jeans, classy Audrey Hepburn dress with a Kate Spade bag, a BoHo style with chunky boots, and the style types go on and on. All of those are beautiful!

Then there’s the body type dilemma. Both of us are completely different builds. Mary is short, petite and has a ballerina body. I am tall, between lean and medium with an athletic build. There are certain things that Mary wears, I cannot and vice versa. Our Flatter Me section we will show you complementary pieces and outfits to all different body types!

Things to look forward to: We are excited to feature different women, with different body shapes, with different styles in our blog. They have embraced who they are and how they express themselves, because Fashion is an Expression.

We also want you all to know that you don’t have to be a certain type, you can dabble in a bit of everything.

Dont Be Afraid to Dabble~

XOXO
